As a lad of about 10 years old, I must have taken that book out of the library 8 or 10 times. I was absorbed by it and loved the diary format which, along with John Wilson's diary year that followed inn the early 70's, doubtless inspired my habitual angling diaries of my own.

I enjoyed Frank too.
