W A Allcocks Adonis. Question for owners.

Hi all, just a question for all you Adonis owners. Can you please measure your rods for me. I have just restored one which is 10ft 8inch overall. All three sections are the same length and none of the ferrules have been changed so I don't think it's been altered in length.

I have always assumed the Adonis was an 11ft rod and I have restored a few over the years but never actually measured one.
I have seen them listed as 11ft 3inch and one which was for sale on the web which was reported to be 11ft 6in so I wondered if they made various lengths.
Grateful for any information.

Wal.

Wal, I have just received from David Chalcraft one of your previous Adonis canes. It measures 11’ 3” I have to say it’s a tip top renovation too.

Mine comes in at 45,46,and 47", minus about 3" for ferrule overlap -11' 3" or so.

It's not really a rod I'm familiar with Wal. and a bit out of my league, but found this one advertised-

-and it does look like 11' 3" is the normal length..

Kind regards to all,

Thanks for all the reply's chaps. It looks like my latest one may be a different rod altogether.
The "Adonis" name looks to have been hand written on the rod so a previous owner may have guessed that it was one too. I'll remove the name Adonis and just keep the makers script.
