I love to read mainly old fishing books of course but I read certain books multiple times just because the quality of the writing the nostalgia the interesting stories behind it and the history I thought I would share my books with you.

And quite a few more I also enjoy Garden History and science fiction, reading is not as popular as it was but with world book Day it's a great way for our children and grandchildren to gain knowledge without always relying on the Internet,

I have just finished The Complete Dudley The Worst Dog in the World. Colin Willock. Recommended.
I have nearly finished Fairy Tale Stephen King. It's OK.
Next up is Riding Shotgun Gerry McAvoy.
35 years on the road with Rory Gallagher.

The old Man and the sea, I've lost count of how many times I have read this one. Oddly , I didn't enjoy it so much when I had to read it at school . Another great on is Three Men in a Boat. I think I have read it about ten times. Not much for reading angling books over and over again though.

I have two books which I’ve read several times… The Gentle Art of Angling, Bernard Venables and How to Fish, Chris Yates both wonderful evocative reads…

Treeman makes a very sound point. The test of a book is not if it is read (...I've read many dreadful books...!) but if it is re-read.
It is also revealing to ask a reader exactly why they enjoyed the book. Calling it merely 'great' tells one nothing.
Reading/re-reading is also the best way to become a better writer.
All this discussion makes one wonder if anybody will be reading anything at all in fifty years time...
