Another reel I have managed to grab for a bargain price. I plan to pair it up with my Hardy County.

There’s one in my local antiques emporium… I’m tempted but these days I mostly use a centrepin for virtually all of my angling…

Yes I do too but this one will be used with my Hardy spinning rods. Now that I amused to using a centre pin I much prefer them to fixed spool reels. :)

I'd like to get my hands on one of these one day, hopefully in similar condition to yours Caneforme, very nice indeed.

Evening All, The Exalta is an interesting reel. I spent some interesting sessions after carp last season using my somewhat battered one (a proper 'user') loaded with 10lb and a variety of MkIV's. Good to use, but not, in my humble opinion, quite up to Altex standard - particularly the lack of subtlety in the spool tension adjustment - it's sort of 'all or nothing'. However, I would imagine it was cheaper to produce than the beautiful, idiosyncratic Altex. Anyway, enjoy! Regards Cat
