An afternoon stroll around Mapperley

Hi guys
I know there has been threads about Mapperley Reservoir before, but I always like to take a stroll around a pool/lake before fishing it and seeing as it was a great afternoon weather wise off we went. We drove down the lane and came to the road across the the dam, I looked and couldn't wait to get out the car. The sun was shining on the water so off me and Sue went walking around the reservoir, we spoke to some anglers on our way round.
It costs £3 per rod per day or £42 for the year a bargain (that was for a few pools).
There were carp cruising at the top end, it was great to watch them, they are not daft though as that part of the reservoir is a wild life sanctury so no fishing there.
The Lodge tea room is great serving homemade cakes and drinks
I was wondering if any TFF members would like to join me on a trip there as it looks a great place and it reminds me of a small Coombe Abbey. If anyone interested I will look at a few dates in August
