This place is a five minute drive for me. Picturesque, local and, best of all, free. Owned by the council, it is a favourite place for dog walkers and such like.
On the downside, it gets very wearing when you are asked 'any luck?' thirty times a day.
I counted seventeen in this shoal. Too busy enjoying the sun to take a bait. A couple of hours this morning. Also spotted a Pike slowly swimming past a small carp and ignored it completely. Perhaps he was in a charitable mood.
