Not a fish was visible that first time I visited Beechmere; an utter
stillness brooded over the place and I felt the strange and sinister atmosphere which, so the story goes,
has been the cause of several suicides.’

Re: Perch drawing
A very good drawing
There is no peace on earth like the peace of fishing in the early mornings
Re: Perch drawing
I like this perch very much! It's worth submitting the same to angling publishers and journals. My perch adorns the front cover of the Little Egret Press compendium 'Willow Pitch II' (www.Littleegretpress.com) . Medlar Press who publish Waterlog also take artwork as well as photos and I've had work published there. Perhaps if there are several of us who paint/draw/illustrate it would be good to offer a discussion thread to others who fancy having a go?!

The most precious places in the English landscape are those secretive corners,
where you find only elder trees, nettles and dreams. (BB - Denys Watkins-Pitchford).

Re: Perch drawing
May I second a request to have an art section on the forum, if there is enough interest?
