IT'S RAINING, LET'S DUST!

Post by Bob Brookes »

For probably 10 years I have had floats and other things in a cabinet in the lounge. In that time I guess they haven't been out and so have gathered dust and the glass is in major need of cleaning. Glenda said, 'It's raining, lets dust your tackle and I'll polish the glass doors and shelves'. Now, I have been putting this off for years so reluctantly agreed, but with one proviso. 'Okay, provided we do one shelf at the time', to which she agreed.

I took the contents off the top shelf placed them in loose categories on the rug and took a quick snap of each.

SOME MORE PATENTED PIKE FLOATS AND A LARGE NOTTINGHAM SLIDER

YANKIE DOODLE DANDIES

All dusted, shelf and glass cleaned and placed back on the shelf. That is enough for today so perhaps another shelf tomorrow. I found that quite exhausting!

Oooer Missus.........what you can get up to in lockdown in your 70’s  :Hahaha:

On a more serious note I have seen Bob’s float collection in his cabinet and it is awesome :Thumb:

Lovely floats Mr Brookes

What's your preferred method of dusting?

A carpet beater, such fun. :Scared:

Doesn't do a good job of the floats though. :Hat:

:Chuckle: He does like his rod whipped with fine silk, full length and around the ring.
