Re: Illegal Dumping Kings Weir.
We burn all our waste wood on the farm, some of it goes home for the Woodburner, rubble is used for repairing the farm tracks, metal taken down the scrapie and anything else goes in the skip which costs us £225 every couple of months. I would give nothing to the "do as you likeys" as you say they just dump what they don't want in a field gateway or the woods. One of their latest tricks is to dump it in the middle of the road down a country lane....tossers!

Sorry Hovis
You are right I was working from memory - not the best of things nowadays - our latest charge is £104 - so things are heading in the right direction.

Hmmm we have a phrase around hear "Pikey Pikey do as you likey" because nothing ever seems to happen about their activities. We have them come round our way on the knock ripping off the elderly residents in the village.Ljm183 wrote:Of coarse it could have something to do with the Pikey site a couple of hundred yards from Kings Weir. They make the effort to drive out to the countryside or secluded area but can't quite manage the waste site, probably still charged the customer for disposal though.
Something we can all do is if we do have someone take our rubbish is ask to see their waste carriers licence.
There are three things that improve with age: wine, friendship and water sense, and there's no short cut.
