Excellent article/ scan Snape, a lovely piece of carp fishing history,
Not a fish was visible that first time I visited Beechmere; an utter
stillness brooded over the place and I felt the strange and sinister atmosphere which, so the story goes,
has been the cause of several suicides.’

Excellent article, thanks for posting Snape.
It doesn't get much better than BB describing Walkers record catch. A most descriptive account but why was it called Raviloli ?
PS I'm sure this is a stupid question and the esteemed gentlemen here all know, but I had to ask

Walker called her Ravioli after all the Ravioli they ate when at Redmire but London zoo wanted a 'proper' name so called her Clarissa.Mushy wrote:Excellent article, thanks for posting Snape.

Super stuff if anyone wants to know the whereabouts of Clarissa, you can find her in Coventry
Chance is always powerful. Let your hook be always cast; in the pool where you least expect it, there will be a fish

thanks for posting that, I have never read an account of the capture before.
