Did you realise gentlemen that today would have been Dick Walkers Birthday, he would have been 94 years old bless him.

Yes the great man not only showed me I could catch big fish by design, he taught me to be a better and more caring person. Having lost my parents in the Far East during World War 2 Richard Walker, along with Sir Winston Churchill, Sir David Sterling, Bernard Venables, General Orde Wingate were my roll models. Long may R W's memory live on. This years its the 60th Anniversary of Walkers 44lb carp. I will be at Redmire on September 13th recording mine and other anglers thoughts on this historic event.
