Practicing my wallace cast

So i have decided to use my centre pin tomorrow with the rod purchased from Wal,so been practicing my casting in the garden ,so far i have managed to cast about 5 yrds ,someone give me strength lol :Cry:
I spend most of my life fishing the Rest i just waste

Ha ha ha,where im going fishing there is a bridge ,im thinking maybe drop my bait off the bridge and run back down to my peg to place my rod on its rests lol

Practice makes perfect, keep at it.
Are you using a lead or float, it is easier to practice with a lead.

Im practising with a lead,i can picture how im supposed to do it but putting it into practice is killing me

You could always strip the line off onto your mat. :Hat:

timeing, is all that is needed,,a maximum of 30mtrs of line on the reel helps as the line bedding in can be a problem, practice makes perfect,3grm float weight is about right

It's quite strange this Wallace casting lark, I do it with out thinking about it with my Grice and Young jecta and my aerialite but with any of my other pins I struggle.
I'm convinced the combination of a narrow drum along with a line guard (as fitted to my other pins) hinders me but I'm not sure how or why?
