Burley

Post by JimmyBobkin »

This arrived today. Burley by name and Burley by nature. Not sure what the test curve is on this but it looks like it could raise the Titanic from the ocean floor. Arrived packed in bubble wrap and tape. No tube. Fearing the worst, I unwrapped it but, luckily, no damage during transit. Has been rather roughly refurbished at some times, with blobs and streaks of varnish and the wonkiest butt button ever seen but the cane is in excellent condition. At sisteen pounds plus 6 pounds P&P I still consider it a bargain. Image

Lovely green on the whippings.... I do like to use green on my rods.

Lovely looking Rod Jim, similar colour silks to those used on my Kennet challenger. I like it. :Thumb:

Not the first wonky butt button I have seen (due to my job) :Chuckle: It was listed as a sea rod but I think it will work for fresh water, Carp, Pike, or maybe sea? Marlin, Shark, Orca, Blue Whale. :Hahaha: etc
