I like to try and get the rod with the correct bag if I can but if it comes without that then it is not a deal breaker. I have subsequently managed to pick up a couple of correct named bags for two of my rods which came without the correct bags. As folk have said it is the rod that counts after all. As to value or cost of an original bag well that all depends on the name on the bag. I picked up a really good B.James Bag for a Mk 4 for £30.
