I know about the "rope syndrome"!
Both reels are identical and function well. As said however I have one 'flat' spool and one 'nipple' spool. So I am after 2 spools to match (or not) the two I have.
Ideal with my 550 for small carping or piking with my D.Pye and Aspindale salmon rod.

An update:-
Been using the 66s - two pairs - and a pair of 77s for 3 years now.
Really pleased with their performance and reliability thanks to Beechmere Lake who serviced some of them after my purchase in 2016!
Landed carp to just under 20lb plus some barbel & chub with them so far.

Lovely reels... I'm sure I read somewhere (possibly on the forum) that Abu designed them to last at least 20 years of regular use, and I'd be interested if anyone else has read this (really to prove I'm not going mad).
