Wonderful shots once again Badger; a very special rod and what a lovely fish.
Andrew's skill in making a rod to precise customer requirements is truly remarkable and he recently made me the rod of my dreams - a 'Kennet Perfection' which aches to test itself on a decent fish. I'll keep the camera in my pocket but doubt I've the composure to take photo's mid battle...they are pretty exceptional!

Hi Hermit - I tried to get some cane bedding shots of this one yesterday but at around 1915hrs the light was a bit dim plus with the extra water and the snags/weed in the swim it was a bit hectic so the photos did'nt come out well. You can see the left overs of the weed :-). Luckily the landing net pole is just about 7' ....needed every last bit to save going in!

Fantastic through action. fantastic rod and reel, great fish and lovely write up and pics Badger1
Not a fish was visible that first time I visited Beechmere; an utter
stillness brooded over the place and I felt the strange and sinister atmosphere which, so the story goes,
has been the cause of several suicides.’
