VENIARD'S PRICES FOR RAW FLY TYING MATERIALS

Post by Kev D »

I came across this Veniard's list of prices paid for raw fly tying materials.
I remember it well though only ever sold them squirrel tails . 25p a time was not to be sniffed at and l would store them in a shoe box until thete were enought to send off. l recall a couple of cheques for over £100 coming my way -Keeper's perks😁

Wow they were cheapskates! You did well getting plenty of the grey tree rats at 25p per tail. Moleskins 4p! Not worth sharpening the knife as you'd be making a loss just on steel taken off the blade
