Hi All
No River angling over Christmas however we still have to go to work. I wear a face covering every building I visit as a service engineer and I am being punished for the ignorance of others. Rant over

Tier Four doesn’t stop you fishing, locally with one other, socially distanced.

We found the Roding back up again today and very muddy (yesterday it looked fabulous), so we did a bit more bank clearance. I think we had even more fun doing that than actually fishing!

Hi All
The River at High Ongar 1.178M is well up by over a metre on summer levels but dropping along with Cripsey Brook and rain and snow forecast tomorrow then dry for the rest of the week. The river should be finning down for sunday however the match wont be taking place if we remain in tier 4 or 3 i think the decision will be made on 30th Dec. I will be fishing Sunday or Monday god willing. I have spoke to Angling Direct in Chelmsford today and they take your order over the phone and payment and they let you know when you can pick it up.

Hi All
I went over the Roding at Castles bottom stretch on the 3rd January and it was grim and cold with hailstones. I caught a little Roach and dropped a little Dace and had a few bites. I returned on Monday the 4th and fished the top end and caught eyeballs and some netter Roach on red maggot. I did try over the back with Lobworm with no bites.

Those look like the Loughton, Debden and Buckhurst Hill end.. my stamping ground in the late 60's and 70's.. the 'S Bend and Bombhole were always hotspots for us lads... room for a few kids with float rods see... :Hat:

A few drone rules broken there but great fun and no harm done. Mesmeric to watch.
