I'm no flyfisher, but it has been suggested to me that a 4 or 5 weight would be appropriate.

Have you used your Lightweight AC? I am tempted to use mine on the Derwent here in Matlock but wondered how it would handle fish of 2lb-3lb which are quite common I believe. I intend to use either a silk line or a 5 wf plastic line. I am just a bit nervous of over stressing the rod, I am assuming at 7 ft it is really a brook/stream rod? What do you think?
