AC Sir, that is a fantastic job you've done there. You must be psychic too. I was only earlier reading through the thread I put on here about buying a Martin James rod off ebay.

I'll pluck up the courage soon to finish off my Rudge rod I started and then move on to the Martin James restoration. For now though there is too much to be done.

God never did make a more calm, quiet, innocent recreation than angling.

Lovely job, AC. And you wonder why I asked for your advice! I love the feather inlay. I may give that a go with the Floatcaster or the landing net handle I plan on making from the very broken NuFloat.

Very nicely done AC, I bet you cannot wait to wet a line with it. This type was one of the first cane rods I used ( also by Martin James) and it got me hooked. I caught some suprisingly large fish on it and with care I got them in ok. I still have that rod and will never part with it. All the best, Reedling.
