yes he did...the old fox turned them out of perspex on his lathe. There's a post on it somewhere.....

When I used to cut these fine slots ,I had access to a tool room spark eroder but the last reel I made I milled a 1mm slot on the Bridgeport milling machine ,very delicate work that takes time and patience .Good days they were ,no machines now so no reels can be made.Reelmaker.
