Dream Weaver - Watermole+ Reel
I post this with Leszek's blessing.
Leszek kindly agreed to make me a reel some time ago. We have communicated regularly and I took delivery of this in late November. My wife knew that I cherished one of his reels and it was one of my dreams to be able to couple this with a Mk IV 1959 "Angling times" prize rod I own, to enable me to weave my float down the Trent searching out those lies of fabulous fish what dreams are made of. Hence its name "Dream Weaver".
I have keep this to my last present to open on Christmas Day, much to the annoyance of David (Banksy) - who was begging to see it at least once per week. It arrived as, looking at previous Watermole+ reels, in a perfectly shaped cardboard box, which was lined with bubble wrap, to find another perfectly tied and gifted box within all topped by a card, written in a beautiful style.
Once opened all instructions, bottle of oil and a leather reel case where to be found, and upon opening, I was confronted with engineering brilliance. Not a spot of end float on the spindle, the ratchet purred when the spool was turned around. All now to team it up with some good quality lines, let the Trent drop down a bit and off I go.
I append details of the reel, and thank Leszek for crafting it and Pat, his wife, for the support she must give him, to undertake all his tasks. I wish them both well for the future, as I do for all fellow TFF's and fellow anglers.
I apologise for some of the photo quality it doesn't do the reel justice.
Thank you once again, Leszek.

If you have no grease with you, and your rings are full of ice, do not cut out the ice with a pen-knife but get your man to put the rings one by one in his mouth, and so to thaw the ice.
