Center pin Intrepid

Post by Robbi »

Evening all......

I've just become the proud owner of a little KP Morritts center pin Intrepid in lovely condition in it's original branded plastic clam shell case, quite chuffed actually :)

I know nothing about these reels but I intend to use it for close in margin work.

Are they any good ?

Do you mean the metal Intrepid 'Match' ...

... or the plastic Intrepid 'Popular' ?

I much prefer the 'Match' ... thinking that "if Carling made margin Gobio reels ... "

Either way ... delightful little reels ... but with a very small arbour and thus a slow retrieve rate ... and I wouldn't try Wallis casting with one !!!

With ultra light tackle and a rod like the Precision 'R. Sealey's Tudor Rose,' or the Milward's 'Featherlite' (both 10ft 6in versions) they provide endless fun tiddler snatching. Just my opinion, of course.

I too have the metal one in its little plastic case. I'm selling it for pennies at Romsey..... It's yours if you'd like it Mal.

If I can find it ( tidying up the tackle room) you can have it for £3 and £2.85 postage.
