Re: Luggage
As some of you will have seen I recently purchased some vintage rods. They came in cloth/canvas rod bags but also came with a large rod bag. There is no makers name, but I wondered if it was recognizable and if it could be dated to a similar period to the rods.
Thanks for your time

I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.

Re: Luggage
i used to have one of those whicker baskets from the 1970s it got eaton by woodworm in the 1980s
Re: Luggage
There were lots of similar "no name" vinyl-and-canvas holdalls like that around in the 1970s - I had one, and it was pretty useless! It gave little protection to the contents (no padding) and was a real pain to dry out when it got wet.Luckyluca wrote:also came with a large rod bag. Re: Luggage
I had one too - but it seemed to trap moisture inside and eventually started to smell a bit odd!

Re: Luggage
You might like to look up the "completed listings" on ebay for one of those...

Re: Luggage
Here's a rather nice piece of luggage :-). My reel/general case lol. Cows don't live long enough nowadays to produce leather like this.
Farlow case, roughly 1920s? Full of tackle now :chuckle:
