This 2 piece 5' built cane rod is marked the Bijou? Bizou? I cannot find any info regarding this rod. Can anyone in TFFLand help.

If you have no grease with you, and your rings are full of ice, do not cut out the ice with a pen-knife but get your man to put the rings one by one in his mouth, and so to thaw the ice.

I have a Milbro Bijou spinning rod that originated from Alex Martins in Glasgow. Short spinning rods were popular on the salmon 'streams' I believe and still make good tools for that job. Sharpes made a belter in the form of the Belmont 6'8" with a srew winch fitting rung for multipliers which I also have.

I can’t help wit the rod but I was fortunate enough to be taught my cursive letters at school and that is a perfect example of a cursive lower case z, so it’s The Bizou!

I reckon someone may have heard the word “bijoux” but never seen it written and gone for a phonetic spelling. Though, “bizou” is actually French for a friendly kiss ..... our peck on the cheek.
