'Crabtree' shot Tube

Post by Bob Brookes »

Last week I was fortunate to obtain a BB shot tube created by Paul Cook, depicting an image from the cover of The Whopper. Today I have just received another shot tube made by Paul Cook, this one depicting that iconic Mr Crabtree image from Bernard Venables' famous book.

It goes well with the float I had gifted to me by Micky, having the same ink drawing on it. Needless to say I am rather chuffed. :Ok:

An amazing piece of work by Paul. Love the graphics. That should hold a few BB’s.
I wondered if it was modelled on a four bore cartridge? Looks like it would fit nicely in a punt gun!

Wonderful Bob. Thinking of making a few of these, could you measure the diameter of the bamboo for me?

And no...they won't look half as good as those.

Thanks Bob. Guess you'll not be out in the trent for a bit, it's over in a few places.

Actually looking at the close ups it seems the tube isn't bamboo but turned wood? Oak possible?
