Another little French fishing film, so innocent.

Reminded me of Fred Wedlock's "Bristol Bobby" _"Cunningly disguising moiself boi takin' orf moi 'elmet"...

I do hope the ghastly little agent provocateur * gets his come-uppance in the next reel!

When Shaz and I alight on French soil we do enjoy a bit of banter with the locals. Any French bar or café will do but we have to practice getting our tongues round a few words before we start.
So there we were, newly arrived in Honfleur for the weekend. Our favourite warm up line is: The frog is lost in the fog. La grenouille est perdu dans le brouillard.

It helps to be starting, or in the middle of, a streaming cold in order to crank up the nasal element of this sentence. We’d been at it a while and started giggling at each other’s attempts, probably on our second bottle of wine, when a Frenchman on a neighbouring table started laughing too. He got up, went to the bar, and plonked two large glasses of cognac on our table. He just said, in impeccable English, “please carry on practising!”
Trouble is, the fish just don't read the books......
