Barbel at dawn

Post by Chevin Chaser »

Another double graced the net early this morning. I removed a very old size 8 hook from its tail that had moulded deep into its tail. If the point was not exposed I would of left it in, but the risk of it catching its tail on a snag was too high. Hook free and released back into the Gt Ouse.

Great fish! The chap that hooked it in the tail probably thought he lost a record barbel.

Well done again! What was the weight of the other Barbel that you posted a picture of the other day?
