Len Head wrote in his book about Tench that there were double figure fish in the lower reaches of the Avon. I dont know anything about that area but it sounds so exciting. I've always held onto the belief that in most every water there is one specimen that is significantly larger than the majority. It's one of the things that drives me forward. In rivers and drains the unknown just keeps me on the edge of my chair and awake at night thinking of the possibilities. In reality is will probably never happen but I do dream of catching an uncaught PB from a neglected and overgrown river. On an old Avocet and Aerial, just as the light is starting to fade........magic!
