Delmatic Help

Post by SeanM »

I was tench fishing with my Delmatic yesterday in an awkward swirling wind and the line got caught behind the spool. Unfortunately it wasn't just behind the spool, but behind the plastic baseplate thingie inside the flyer. I had a good proddle about, but could find no way of removing the offending article on the bank.

How do you remove this item?

It should just pull out. Don't twist it as it has a slot which engages with a transverse pin on the spindle. If it's really stuck take the handle and side plate off, remove the main drive gear which frees up the spindle and the whole lot should come out together. You'll then be able to separate the two parts without damage.

Ta! It looked like it should just come off, but I didn't want to force it.
