Anyone know of "Adrian" Field Floats?
Good Evening Gentlemen,
Have any of you heard of Adrian Field, as per this listing?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/7-Traditional ... 1203256776
The seller mentions Both Andrew Field and Adrian in his listing but (perhaps cleverly) only mentions Andrew, rather than saying they are made by him.
Any thoughts?

I would say they are Andrews floats, with a couple of typing errors.
They look like his style, and he signs them A Field plus the year.

Typos can help one get a real bargain! But now the proverbial cat is out of the bag; nay matter lad it's only a float!

At that price not sure the cat is out of the bag there are others on here who make sublime floats at a fraction of the cost having said that I love Andrew's work.

My concern would be that 5 sets are available, all made in 2010. I can't see one person buying 5 identical sets and holding onto them for 4 years. I certainly can't see Andrew holding them for any length of time. I may of course be wrong, I often am!Bumble wrote:It's Andrew and the rest is a typo he is very very good but then the prices are very high as well

I think these sets were available from John Baileys site.

That makes sense Richard, so scrub my last comment.

Good morning all,
I have spoken to the seller, it was indeed a typo, he has re-worded his listing and it does indeed look genuine. I may well be tempted!

I could not agree more Bumble though I would add I would rather see their prices rise than Andrew's come down as there is a lot of skill and time goes into a handmade float..much of it unrewarded. Its important I feel not to take it for granted.Bumble wrote:At that price not sure the cat is out of the bag there are others on here who make sublime floats at a fraction of the cost having said that I love Andrew's work.
