Yes. I have the Elasticane and the Elastiglass 10ft versions that I use for pike; the the split cane version does very nicely for carp as well.
The coiled line travels from the reel, it brings up at last, the hook goes home, and then begins the test of skill. "BB"

Re: What is Going on Here?
The original listing of this rod failed to attract any bids and it is now relisted at a vastly reduced price http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/unused-MK1V-C ... 2c93c6d4a5
He also has for sale an "unused" Avon Barbel Split Cane Rod http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/unused-AVON-B ... 2c93c74444
Whilst these rods do appear to have been beautifully refurbished I cannot help but feel that he is being a tad too Jackanory when it comes to the rods descriptions.

Re: What is Going on Here?
He's being a tad naughty and advertising a centrepin reel alongside the rod but not selling via ebay. Regardless, I would want a longer handle on a 12' rod. 22" is a little short!
