All 2lb+ fish with the biggest going 2lb12.still no 3lbr though

That was the 2lb12 Paul.incidently it spat a perch about 4 inches out in the net.

Fantastic, I recently smashed my pb with a 3lb 7 . Have a look at the competition section for a picture :Hat:

Fantastic Paul.i will have a look.there is no other fish as striking as a specimen perch.before I caught those 2lbrs my biggest was only about a lb and a quarter.i couldn't believe the size of their mouths.i will hopefully break the three pound mark soon.let me know your chosen method for these goliaths and your rig.3lb 7 ..........waw.

Looks like a canal Paul and there's a bit almost identical on the forth and Clyde canal.dont suppose your fish has a holiday home up here?the lob worm seems to be one of the all time baits for the seargents.i usually use a ledger rig with a very light bobbin for a bite detector.i will give them a go on the float now.by the way,that looks a fine swim in the pic.cheers for sharing mate

Meant to say Paul,doesn't a cane rod have a great all through action.i used to have 2 split cane fly rods,they were heavy but great action.im taking that is a cane rod?

Just saw your pic Paul and it looks as fat as it is long.that is all of 3.7lb.well done,absolute belter

Many thanks Ian, it was 16 inches long, it weighed 4lb 4 in the net,thought it was a small carp at first. The rod is cane, its all I use :Hat:
