What's happening in the picture Weyfarer, I presume some sort of netting?

The most precious places in the English landscape are those secretive corners,
where you find only elder trees, nettles and dreams. (BB - Denys Watkins-Pitchford).

I seem to have boobed and mistakenly opened a new thread. The netting was just the usual fishery management type of thing with the net being paid out of the back of the boat in an arc and then the messy job of hauling it in. It was all so long ago that I cannot recall much of what was netted - mainly mirrors of four or five pounds, small roach and a single anaemic looking pikelet.

Don't worry about opening a new thread.
