The Edgar Sealey Roach Rod. 10ft., 2 piece split cane rod, with a compound taper tip section.

where you find only elder trees, nettles and dreams. (BB - Denys Watkins-Pitchford).

I am wondering (as did others on the previous page) if some gremlins recently got in to updating the list of Sealey rods at the start of your very useful post.

Two now-missing coarse rods are The Rover and the Octofloat. I'm pretty sure they were there when I last looked.

I can give details if required, but you probably know all this as the info was there previously!

Hi, I have a Sealey Rod configured like the Chapman 500, i.e., Cork Handle and 2 pieces of split cane. For the life of me I cannot remember what it is called. Can any body help?
Thanks

You could be referring to the Edgar Sealey "Strikerite" ... though there were other rod of a similar construction ...

The octofloat isn't on the list. Don't know hoe we missed it. It must be one of their most well known rods, after the floatcaster! Loads of us own one, though not me.
