Re: Gudgeon length to weight ratio chart
I don't know about an actual scientifically chart but the following seems to be universally accepted.
Gudgeon Length
1.5" = Aagh just so cute
2" = Cute
3" = Nice to see em about
4" -5" = Cor , that's a good one
5"-6" = S'gotta be close to the
record. Gotta be!
6" plus = Pretty sure l had a
record gudgeon once.
Should've weighed it
I suppose.

I'm actually being serious, there was an image of the chart, pretty sure it was in one of the gonk threads but I suspect it was loaded with tinypics and has expired

Can only find 2 research documenst and nothing to do with UK, of the two, this seems the best. You will need to serach on Gobio Gobio, weight to length ratio or similar.

Re: Gudgeon length to weight ratio chart
When you catch the record don't forget to take a photo with both you and the gudgeon in it, otherwise it will not count and all your hard work will be for nothing. Someone recently caught a record minnow but only took a photo of the fish, so it was disallowed!
