Winging it's way to me is this 'match' style Aspindale's Dalesman "The Kimdale," which I understand to be an early 1950's rod (at least post 1949) example of the Aspindale's catalogue. I have seen photos of this rod for a few years now, and am delighted to find one in what seems original (if a bit over varnished) condition.
An 11ft. rod comprising 2 sections of hollow built split cane, with a separate 23 inch cork shive covered handle, I understand that it weighs in at only 10 ounces.
A bit like me ... it possibly could do with a bit of 'a spruce up' in future ... but I'm sure it will serve it's purpose straight 'from the box.'
