Does anybody know what kind of rod the B. James 8'6" 'Richard Walker Specialist' was?
I do have a picture of (part of) the rod - see below - but I am curious as to the test curve and action and the purpose for what it was meant.
It looks powerful enough in the butt to be a pike spinning rod, or perhaps a carp stalking rod avant la lettre?

Could be a Grebe. It does get called a mini MKIV. I believe it was originally intended as a spinning rod but then a lot of cane spinning rods make great carp rods.
