Thank you, and I will definitely agree with you. All be it some luck, but without the leg work and time spent on the bank, those bigger chub are not easy to capture. Chub are still very active during the summer months, however they use the excess cover to their advantage making them very elusive.
It is important to be aware that every fishing story...depends on the honesty of those telling it, the accuracy of their memory and the realibility of their interpretation of the circumstances.

The close season is an important and interesting time for the Angler who set out to catch big fish. It is a timely opportunity for him to make new tackle or renovate old. There are no end of jobs to do, apart from those horrible things called Gardens!
