Cheers for the reply guys.
Rab fishes flies with wriggly tails Santiago and he has had more perch action than I have.I don’t know what the tail is made with but it’s very thin, worm like.
Sounds like a really nice and bright fly Liphook.I have tried drawing the the stripes with a black permanent marker but the one I have seems to be sticky and sticks the hairs together, which I don’t know if ok or not.
Don’t cast doubt,cast out.

Well that might be worth a shout Tonkin Wand,as I bought jay wings about 18 months ago and Ive never tied with them.
Maybe I can tie a few predator flies with them to use them up.
Thanks for the suggestion 👍

A giant Sinfoils Fry would work.

A double seatrout type fly - 2 hooks - leave just the shank on one hook. See:- https:/ /www.sea-trout-flies.co.uk/ for various examples.

Big tube flies.

A thin strip of leather looks like a worm or tail.

Worry less about who you might offend, and care more about who you might inspire.
