Which Counties Have No Grayling?

I caught in Lincolnshire yesterday. The Upper Witham has Grayling.

There were some in the Hellesdon Mill part of the River Wensum, Norfolk, in the late 1980s. Now... no idea. I'm not aware of any in the stretch where I met Silfield and Pallenpool the other day. If they remain anywhere in the Wensum, I'd guess in the late Bernard Matthews' stretch. It truly is the most amazing bit of river I've ever seen.

It would be nice to think that they are still present in some of the upper reaches of our regions rivers. What has been the reason for their decline in numbers, or is it the same factors that are affecting a lot of rivers at national level?

Thriving here in the Ribble catchment, particularly the Hodder. This list just reminds me of why I don't live in those shires

They have been introduced into many rivers - so not a natural - including the Tweed system. Mostly to give fly anglers something for the winter to fish for.

I have heard through the grapevine that Grayling have been stocked into a stretch of the River Beane controlled by the Red Spinners.This lovely little river flows into the Lea at Hartham Common,Hertford.

A river that Walker fished and caught some 2lb roach. In fact the exact swims that he fished!
