Still not been able to give them a good cold weather test but I sat in the garden last night for close to an hour in the frost with the kelly kettle and a packet of wine gums for sustenance. The dog was not impressed but my feet were warm :Thumb:

I have some muck boots which are quite warm but to allow for plenty of socks in my other footwear I buy in big sizes. My feet are size 11-1/2 wide and I buy size 13s in all my wellingtons, waders and walking boots. I use a variety of types and numbers of socks depending on conditions. I find this works very well allowing for some air to circulate in warm weather and plenty of insulation in cold weather or stood in water. The walking boots I just tighten using the laces when using thin socks.
