It's a slippery slope Mr B. You could end up with a new obsession. I'll post another you will like shortly.

I particularly like old postcards which show anglers fishing. Here are another two, as above, they are on River Hull. The first is at Beverley; you can see Beverley Minster in the distance on the left. The lock gates are the entrance to Beverley Beck which is a day ticket water today. It looks like the anglers bicycles are resting on the fence.

This view below is a couple of mile upstream and again shows an angler fishing.

What lovely cards Phil and with Anglers too that makes them special.
Nice also that you can get a day ticket today.
Great quality cards I have saved the photos.

The close season is an important and interesting time for the Angler who set out to catch big fish. It is a timely opportunity for him to make new tackle or renovate old. There are no end of jobs to do, apart from those horrible things called Gardens!
