Leaving in 15 minutes - look forward to seeing everyone. Have wife in tow so I do not spend much!
Taking some greys prodigy rods and 42" landing net, ambidex reels, lures and other bits, hopefully for Ravensfield to sell and earn some commission.
That's partially the reason wife is coming to mark sure they are handed over and less clutter in the garage!

Re: Yorkshire Vintage & Modern Tackle Fair Easter 2022
Just got back from the Yorkshire vintage and modern tackle fair.
Thoroughly enjoyed the day.
Lovely venue.
Met plenty of nice people.
Made a Bob or two..
Thanks to all involved with the planning and organisation.
All in all a good day.
Hopefully, the first of many.
Best wishes.

Really enjoyed the day - some bargains (but I didn't buy any) and some pricy stuff, which I was quick to point out to the wife - now you see the stuff I have at home isn't rubbish. She would have a job to know a built cane rod from a glass fibre, but she at least (thinks) my collecting is a fine art.
Nice to have met Old Man River, Wanderer and a few others. Look forward to next year.

Really enjoyed the vintage and modern tackle fair held today, met up with some old friends and made a few new ones. Thanks to OMR for the beautifully made shot tube and to Wanderer for the Pontefract cakes….much appreciated. Many thanks to Mark and Andy for organising such a well run and supported event. I cannot wait to get back to some Tench fishing in May.
I am now a fully paid up member of the Grayling Society too, I am going to take some casting lessons although they assured me I will be allowed to long trot with a pin.
Great day….by the way who won the raffle?

Hi all,
First of all let me congratulate Mark and Andy on organising the first Yorkshire tackle fair, they did a sterling job and I am certain it will just grow year on year .I had a really enjoyable day, a good venue, met lots of interesting and knowlegeable people, friends old and new, even had the odd interested person at my table.
I look am now looking forward to the next one.
Oh, just one thing, Mark, you will never make a DJ.

Not wishing to take anything away from my young friend Andy K(BendSomeCane)but he had nothing to do with organising the tackle fair, as he will confirm. However he has agreed to organise it next year, subject to getting the approval of his wife!

Oops !
I do apologise Mark . I should have known as Andys name never appeared anywhere prior to seeing him at the event .
I bet he would make a terrible DJ as well , we will see next year
If he gets permission .

Sorry Mark,
I assumed that Andy was involved in the organisation, let’s hope his wife lets him get stuck in next year!
It really was an excellent event and long may it continue
