Reel Time - Christopher Yates
*Due for release in September*
Gathered together within the pages of Reel Time, are 44 articles from the pen of the legendary Chris Yates. Ranging from 1967; the very first published article from Chris, through to 1989, when his passion for carp had subsided and a new found love for barbel burned brightly.
Each article has been selected by the author, and are accompanied by many of his own wonderful photographs.
Stories of mysterious lakes, the iconic Redmire Pool, the capture of his then record carp, and compelling encounters with barbel abound.
This book is truly special and not to be missed by any of the many fans and admirers of Chris Yates.

Excellent news indeed! I've had to laboriously collect CY articles in a scrapbook over the decades and can now bin them! CY's standard never wavered; the Waterlog ones were just as good as those in Angling magazine. Hopefully the book includes The Prospect of Dawn, his best writing of all (I'd say). What a contrast his pen is to much of today's carelessly constructed offerings.

I believe so. According to the advertising blurb:
'Gathered together within the pages of 'REEL TIME', are 44 articles from the pen of the legendary Chris Yates.
They range from 1967; the very first published article from Chris, through to 1989, when his passion for carp had subsided and a new found love for barbel burned brightly.'

Just to add, I won’t be investing a minimum of £35 for what are basically second editions of these articles - nothing at all to do with the author, for whom I have the utmost admiration and respect, but surely it’s time to examine the motives of publishers who produce limited edition copies of old works, however good, even great..
I am a collector of antiquarian angling books, and I fully expect to receive pelters for my opinion, which is offered sincerely.
