Welcome aboard Polecat. :Hat:
Not a fish was visible that first time I visited Beechmere; an utter
stillness brooded over the place and I felt the strange and sinister atmosphere which, so the story goes,
has been the cause of several suicides.’

Hello Polecat,

I am a couple of states over, in Michigan, and also do little float fishing, but a lot of ledgering---mainly for carp in the Grand river.
What baits do you use for float fishing? Worms, sweetcorn, bread? Or have you found a supply of maggots?

Welcome to the forum!
