I went to go out doors this morning for some gas cylinders for a camping stove, I don’t do camping but we only have electric for cooking and who knows what the future will bring.
Whilst in there, I bought some robin red pellets. They seem to have a hole through them, any idea why? Bear in mind that I am a pellet novice.

To put the pellet on a hair rig, with either an end loop on the hair or doubled over to make a bigger loop with a boilie stop to hold the pellet on.

This does away with the need to use pellet bands.

The reason for this is because pellet bands are too complicated for carpies to comprehend.

Also try drilling a normal hard pellet.....they almost invariably split.

If the drilled hole is small you can use a hair rig tool to pull the elasticated band not quite fully through to make a reasonably secure hold on the bait.

As ever,....
