Made of solid wood either Lance wood or Green Heart:

Don't know much about The Everyman except one is in the possession of the Fat Mole.

This rod even has a ref no: G30189.

Are there any experts who know any thing about this rod?

G = mixed materials or not cane exclusively.
30189 = 1951. However the rod weirdly looks older!

Need a bit more - ferrules? -- rings? -- length? -- coarse or game rod? (Looks game with fixed butt reel holder.)

Crest on rod butt?

Looking in the 1951 catalogue - mostly game rods.

After some searching I have found the following:- Everyman Pike - - - Greenheart - - - 3 section - - - 10ft - - - 1934-1952. Hope that helps!

3 other versions of 10ft pike rods were made in that exact same period
Masterpiece Pike - - Split bamboo - - - - - - - - - - 3 section - - 1934-1952
Popular Pike - - Greenheart/Split bamboo 3 "" - - "" ""
Recruit Pike - - Bamboo/Greenheart 3 "" - - "" ""

Plus the Roach rods and FWK Wallis rods - - possibly to catch the bait!

Brilliant 10 ft or near enough, Greenheart, 3 sections and a pike rod. It's quite a substantial piece of timber.

Even the date range of 1934-1952 fits in with the known history as this rod was owned by my father in-law who inherited it from his father.

Just needs some better rod rings and a wee tidy up and good to go.

Thanks Olly very helpful.
