All contraband was hidden most cleverley in the back of the Old Volvo , as we had driven and done an overnight on the ferry .SWMBO drew the line at digging a tunnel.

I had already made up copious amounts of explanations should we have been “turned over “ at Customs. Luckily it never happened and we drove through without an eyebrow being raised.

They never asked about the forty bottles of Scotch, 100 gallons of wine and other most savoury items either . :eyebrow: :eyebrow:

It seems that by car on your holidays - anything can be brought in! Some lovely French foods recently for example!

My wife who caught Covid on the way there - left it there and cane back 'clean'.

When entering foreign lands however - bait/boilies or even a ham sandwich was not allowed!!!
