A wonderful gift

Post by Bobthefloat »

My dear friend Mick Borra who owned and ran the Creel tackle shop in Aldershot popped round last night and gave me these beautiful floats.
Most of which were made on site as that little tackle shop produced many thousands of floats for quite a number of year's and were highly sought after.
Apparently a huge amount went to Germany.
I still haven't worked my way through the box yet!

That certainly is a wonderful gift Tel.

Like a box of fireworks to a schoolboy, it's not what they will do it's the imagination of what they can do.

A wonderful gift indeed, I use to have some fluted chubber style floats in the same colours as the float on the left in the third picture. Lucky man :Hat:

Dear Trevor, Terry, Tell, Bob,

Served on the Farnham Committee with Mick for a few years. He is madder than a box of Frogs in a quiet sort of way.

Nice gift though.

When you see him next tell him I'm still alive!

As ever,..........

Very nice indeed…there is something quite compelling about a box of floats….

Fluted Avons, be still my beating heart, a great float for big rivers. You, my polyonymous friend, are a lucky boy.
